During the drive, I noticed the fingers of the woman which were bathed in the intense yellow sunlight while the rest of her body was shrouded in shadow. At that moment, I decided that I should paint her with yellow oil paint, and did so eventually. The car thus became not only the vehicle for transportation but also the place in which I thought about art and the paintings I would later create.
