In this painting, I depicted the small moment in which the shadow of street lamp passes over the window, as a woman holds her hand to her mouth, looking troubled or perhaps deep in thought. This scene originally took place during the day, but in the painting it resembles the night time. In the transition from photography to painting, I often deviate from the original photograph in order to create the mood I want.
